The Story of Sugar Trampoline.
So... where'd it all begin?
Sugar Trampoline is run entirely by one person with a passion for alternative fashion, lifestyle, and subculture! My name is Shalisa and it's lovely to meet you!
As a teenager, I knew I wanted in on that indie fashion designer life... but pushed it out of my mind because it seemed so unrealistic.
The desire to create never went away, though, and in 2013 I opened an online shop, as a small side hobby while completing my bachelor's degree, offering just a few hair accessories.
In 2015, fresh out of uni and armed with a new overlocker, the clothing label was born, and I found myself debuting an entire collection in a local boutique, and shipping out orders to customers across the globe!
There's still more to come!
Since then, Sugar Trampoline has grown from strength to strength, with fashion show debuts, stalls at events, and an array of custom orders where I get to work with clients one-to-one to ensure they get the perfect fit.
Heavily inspired by Japanese street fashion, Sugar Trampoline items can be dressed both up and down: as part of fancy outfits, or used as statement pieces in casual wear (and take it from me-- bloomers make very comfy pyjamas!)
Nothing gives me a bigger sense of accomplishment than being able to carve my own little niche in the world of fashion, and sharing my designs with others is the icing on the cake.
As a self-taught seamstress, I am constantly learning new design techniques, with the aim of expanding my brand further so I can offer a wider range of clothing for my lovely customers. Watch this space!
